82ASK is now officially “down with the kids!” Kids across the nation were invited to “ask the Txtpert” on BBC 7’s Big Toe radio show yesterday. One of our fabulous Texperts, Christopher Jerden-Cooke, took up the challenge and had an excellent time answering all of the weird and wonderful questions the kids could throw at him. I’ll let Christopher take it from here…

Thanks Sarah! The two presenters were Kirsten O’Brien (mostly seen in SMart) and Kevin Duala (of the UK version of Blue’s Clues) who were very friendly and made me feel quite welcome. After hesitantly explaning who I was and what I do, and what my silliest ever question had been (”Can you drown through your bum?” Short answer: no.) I was on, piled up with questions. After a terrifyingly short amount of time it was time to present 82ASK’s results and take a few impromptu questions, most of which I surprised myself by being able to answer straight away without researching. I was particularly stunned when Tabbi, one of the young girls who made up that day’s Big Toe Team, asked what kind of films Square-Enix produce! Couldn’t have asked for a better question - I’m a big fan.

In the end the “Txtpert” had answered all the questions asked (and many more besides - when The Kooks were played in the studio and Kirsten asked Kevin if they were from Liverpool I offered to look them up - they’re actually from Brighton), despite the tight time schedule. And there’s the possibility we may be on again, so stay tuned!
