82ASK on the BBC front page

The BBC have featured 82ASK as front page news item, and the public response has been amazing. There is a huge appetite for mobile search - or mobile find, as we like to call it - and this is a sign of things to come.

The article profiles one of our Texperts, Tom Ellis, and the management team. It’s an in-depth look at how a Texpert goes about answering questions, and gives a taste of what’s on the nation’s mind.

Well, back to the front lines for me - it’s been a bit crazy here this morning!

Sounds like it’s all been a very good idea!…

    Super stuff….

I think you could do with me on your team, I’ve been a personal - whats the term? - ‘Customer led innovating personal instant answerer’ for some years now, … I’m just enthusiastic about more stuff than most and have become fed up with people ringing me up from quiz nights! ..

must be very entertaining, the more obscure the better…

I hope this goes from strength to strength for you… have you got plans for when googling on mobiles becomes a less abhorrent user experience than it is at present?

best of luck with it all..

Thanks Théo! We’ve got a few ideas in the pipeline regarding 3G. Our research tells us that people are interested in instant gratification rather than searching when they’re on the move, but of course, we’re looking for ways to improve user experiences all the time.
